WEB Information
- We did not receive a post-card about the WEB Orientation. Is my 6th-grader still invited?
- Yes, invitations may have been lost in the mail or a student may have registered after they were sent. All new 6th graders are invited and do not need to RSVP in any way to attend (the SpMS Guidance office has left-over invites and information on the Orientation).
- Does my 6th-grader need to bring anything to the WEB Orientation?
- Nothing.
- My 6th-grader did not get a phone call from a WEB leader and their friends did. Can I know who their WEB Leader is?
- If a 6th-grader did not get a call, then their name was not on our original list or we did not have a correct number, but this is ok. They may not receive a call from a WEB Leader, but they will still be placed in a group on the day of the Orientation (we do not take requests for 6th-graders to be with a certain 8th grade WEB Leader).
- How does the transportation to the WEB Orientation work?
- WCPS busses will be available at the normal school-day time and running on an early delay schedule to return them home. Students should board their busses the same way as they would on the first day of school (please encourage parents NOT to drop off their student in the morning and then expect them to ride the bus home—this creates chaos, since these students often have no clue which bus to board at the end of the day).
- Will my 6th-grader receive breakfast/lunch on the WEB Orientation day?
- No.
